Mrs. Evans, nee Pecchiari, was born October 19, 1929 in Capodistria, Slovenia to Arturo Pecchiari and Maria Poclen. She grew up with 4 sisters: Elda, Daniela, Rosalia and Onorina.
Giuliana met her future husband, Wiltz E. Evans, Jr, at a USO dance in 1947. They married September 11, 1948, and welcomed their eldest daughter, Lisa in 1949 in Trieste, Italy, and then welcomed their second daughter, Shirley, in Pineville, Louisiana in 1951. They travelled frequently due to their military obligations, and welcomed their youngest daughter, Rosalie, in Ft. Sill Oklahoma in 1961.
Giuliana was a homemaker, took great pride in both her flower and vegetable gardens, and enjoyed playing Bingo at the NCO club on Ft. Sill.
In 1993, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to enjoy retired life closer to several lifelong friends who had already moved there. They very much enjoyed their life in Nevada until Wiltz’s death in 2007.
As her health began to decline in 2022, she moved to Florida to be close to her family.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Lisa (John) Rawlings, of Burlington, NC; Shirley Shearer of Titusville, FL; and Rosalie (Randall) Campbell of Hillsborough, NC; 5 grandchildren; Julie (Ted) Glockzin of Orlando, FL; Marcia (Steven) Terry of Groveland, FL; Brian (Rachel) Rawlings of China Grove, NC; Rachel Rawlings of Mebane, NC; and Mandy (Chad) Behling of Mebane, NC, along with 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She is pre-deceased by her parents; her sisters Elda, Daniela, Rosalia and Nora, as well as her husband.
The family would like to thank the staff at Encore Avalon for their compassionate care of Giuliana.
