Erma Lee Brown, born on September 3, 1935, gracefully departed this world on May 7, 2024, at the age of 88, to join her heavenly home.
A woman of immense warmth and affection, Erma Lee's heart overflowed with love for her family. Together with her husband, she journeyed the globe, cherishing every moment. From sandy shores to bustling markets, she found joy in life's simple pleasures—be it exploring new cuisines or savoring home-cooked meals amidst holiday gatherings with family.
Above all, Erma Lee was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and the most cherished Nana, Grandma, and Great-grandma. While she has departed this world, her spirit lives on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and unwavering love.
Erma Lee reunites with her beloved father, Arrington Lawhorne, mother Minnie Lawhorne, husband Joseph David Brown, and eldest son, David Arrington Brown, in the embrace of eternity.
She leaves behind a legacy of love carried by her children, Debra Dye (with late husband Robert Lee Dye) and Gregg Brown; grandchildren, Jason Brown (with wife Andrea Brown), Angela Hope Carter, Mariela Brown (with wife Kristen Darby- Brown), Christina Murillo (with husband Walter Murillo); great-grandchildren, Nina and Odette Brown (children of Jason), Jasmine Esquivel, Landon, and Ashton Murillo (children of Christina); sisters Ellen Stine, Shirley Wheeler, Arlene Reed, and Delores Bryant; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
