Obituary for Adolph A Tessling Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our loving, kind, funny, giving, vivacious Father Adolph Tessling Jr’s passing on March 15, 2023.

He was born in Des Moines, Iowa, to Barbara and Adolph Tessling Sr. on April 26, 1959.

Our Dad was a man with a loving heart and an amazing memory and loved to tell stories of his past. He was always the life of the party. A real jokester. He had a love for music and would always enjoy sitting outside in his car listening to his favorite songs. His best friend of 17 years was his loyal dog, Baby Girl, who passed away on January 11, 2019. He owned many muscle cars and a couple of Harley motorcycles but always wanted a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a side car for his Baby Girl. We are praying he is riding his Harley in Heaven with Baby Girl by his side with her Winnie.

He was a jack of all trades who’s work ethic was admired. His most beloved job was being a Sous Chef offshore on the oil rig. He had a passion for the ocean and loved working on the rig. The ocean soothed his soul. He loved to fish and was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan. He would always look forward to the new football season. Go Vikings!

We know he is reunited with parents, niece, brother-in-law, and other family predeceased by him.

He is survived by his children Adolph lll (Buddy), Anthony, Zackary, Tanya, Blynda and husband Marlon, Gena and husband Dakari. He always made it known that he loved and cherished all his children. He would’ve loved to be near all his children, but they were always with him in his heart and soul. He loved his son-n-laws both so much and felt blessed they were his family. He always said he had the best son-n-laws that he could ever ask for.

He is survived by his grandchildren Jacintha, Dekel, Elijah, Destinee and Luke, and great-grandchildren Jalylah and Leo.

He is also survived by his sisters Debbie and Mercedee (Kat) & Larry (brother-in-law) who will carry his love and memories with them. Last, but not least, he is survived by his family in Louisiana, his nephews and nieces and his lifelong friends.

Daddy, you will always be loved and remembered, but most of all, you will be missed.
