Obituary for Theresa Delpeschio
Theresa Ann Delpeschio “Terry”, 62, of Seminole County, FL, passed away on January 22, 2022 in Oviedo, FL. Terry was born October 4, 1959 to Francis Scarbo and Florence Emma Robinson in Yonkers, N.Y.

She was the backbone of her family and her daughters’, Lisa and Jessica, best friend. They would talk with her on the phone from around 10 a.m., since Terry was not a morning person, until the early morning hours when she would be up late watching her shows like Ghost Whisper, Prison Break, and Zoo. Anytime she wanted to laugh she would be watching Jeff Dunham to see her favorite Peanut. Most often she would be playing her favorite game Thug Life and would yell at people for blowing up her stuff and she was the master of getting thousands of spins.

Terry could be a little rough around the edges, and did not hesitate to speak her mind, but she also had the biggest heart and was there for her friends and family when they needed her. Everyone knows she was a busybody and loved being on the go. Ross and Ollie’s were her stores of choice for supporting her blanket and towel addiction. She loved her blankets soft and her towels big enough to wrap around her twice. She was known to frequent the dollar general for all her chocolate needs.

Every week in Pasco County when she lived there and in Seminole County at numerous points in her life, she could be found raising hell with her friends at the various bingo locations. People who knew her best knew how much she loved Wawa’s and their cups and ice, coffeecake muffins, and picked up her Newport 100s cigarettes there up until she cut back on that habit at the end of 2021. If she was not drinking tons of frozen regular water, she would be drinking her “purple propel” as she called it. She did have a sweet tooth so she could drink some serious yoo-hoo and cream soda when she felt like it.

Her favorite hobby that she enjoyed the last several years of her life was her diamond art painting. All of us that regularly spoke with her would always catch her in the middle of working on various ones and often had her best friend John Waters work on filling in the sections on one color that she would get annoyed with. Most of them consisted of her cats that she loved so much and had a history of collecting pictures and statues of already ranging from panthers, tigers, and cheetahs just to mention a few. She gifted these diamond paintings to many who now will cherish the love and time that she put into making her creations for them.

Her canine companion Gizmo was always by her side and she took him everywhere with her. Terry loved to dress him in his sweaters and made sure he had just as many blankets as she did. She made sure he wanted for nothing and he was aware of how much she loved him and how much she appreciated her time with him. After losing her best friend John, Gizmo would help cheer her up since they would frequent dog parks together to be able to get out and allow Terry to clear her head. Her sister Alice was her sounding board for years and especially recently with helping her cope with that loss as well as encouraging her to stay strong with all the medical appointments and to be patient to get the answers she was working on getting through countless tests and doctor visits.

Terry spent the last 6 months of her life living with her niece Alisha and her three kids, Destiny, Gabriel, and Dominick. She would spend countless hours there relaxing, sleeping, or talking on the phone by the pool that she loved. She could be found daily sneaking chores like folding clothes, washing dishes to stay busy and to clean since that is something she has always liked to do and she always wanted to be helpful. Things she found pleasure in there were pressuring washing the pool deck, keeping her nephews in line, and eating Destiny’s cooking. She always had friends and family to talk to whether it was at home or on the phone with her loved ones that were not close by.

She became sick about three months before she passed and focused on getting to doctors and appointments to see what she needed to do to fight like she has done all her life with her various conditions that she had in the past and many that she was still dealing with. She wanted nothing more but to be here with her family and friends, but God had other plans for her and decided to call her home.

She is survived by her son Michael Del Peschio, her daughters Lisa Del Peschio and Jessica Campbell, and her grandchildren Jesse Reyes, Emma Del Peschio, and Joseph Del Peschio.

The family has decided that they will hold a memorial service within the first year of her passing so check back for updates. Your love and support are appreciated and Terry will be missed by all and is finally at peace.
