Obituary for Richard Morris Hearrell
Richard Morris Hearrell was born August 3, 1944 to Jeanette Northcott Hearrell and Morris Leland Hearrell in Youngstown, Ohio.
He was the second child of 5 siblings. Richard attended and
graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1962, where he played football. He was a member of the choir, art club, and participated in many other activities.
Richard went on to attend Youngstown State University where he attained a Bachelors degree in Business.
After Graduation, Richard proudly served in the United States Army where he served in active duty overseas in Vietnam.
After Vietnam, Richard returned to Youngstown, Ohio where he met his wife, Billie Kaye Needelman.
Richard and Billie went on to have two children whom they raised in North Palm Beach, Florida. He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Lynn Hearrell-Rivera and son, Ryan Christopher Hearrell.
Richard worked in the Pre-Cast industry where he took great pride in his work. He loved his work and even more so he loved that his work could provide so much opportunity to his family, especially his children. Richard worked for 50 years until his retirement in 2014 as the VP of Sales, Marketing and Engineering in Norfolk Virginia. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, painting, spending time with his family and watching sports.
Richard is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Christian, Logan, Emma & Nathaniel. He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. He was their biggest fan. He also loved bringing them gifts and watching their faces light up with excitement. If you were fortunate to know Richard, then you know you had a friend for life.
If you were even more fortunate to have “Dad” or “Daddy” as your father then you knew you had a rock as solid as they come. A best friend, a leader, a teacher, and a mentor. A dad you know would be there for you through the toughest times. A Dad who lived his life not for himself, but lived entirely and tirelessly for his kids and grandkids. He was the heart, strength and core of our family. As a Papa to his 5 beloved grandchildren, he had no greater joy. Papa loved being Papa. He was the best and most generous Papa you could ever ask for or know. Dad, you will be in our hearts forever, you are loved and missed so much. Until we meet again. We know you’re watching over us.
Richard, Dick, Dad, Daddy, Papa was called to Heaven on November 3, 2021. He was layed to rest at
All Faiths Memorial Park located at 1390 Park Dr. Casselberry, Florida 32707.
