Obituary for Richard Dubois
Richard (Dick) passed away on January 23, 2020 at his snowbird home with his wife Joyce in Leesburg Florida. Dick and Joyce’s permanent residence was in Big Flats, WI. Richard was born December 22,1943 in Baraboo WI to Lowell & Alice (Smith) DuBois. He spent most of his working life as an owner/operator of over the road semi-trucks. He also proudly worked at General Motors in Janesville WI for many years. Rich did a tour of duty in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was discharged from the Army on Veterans day in 1963. Dick enjoyed racing stock cars, his Chevy trucks and in later years riding around in his golf cart. He spent his time camping, boating and swimming. He was an occasional fisherman and a lifelong hunter and enjoyed several hunting trips with his son for bigger game. He loved a rare steak, a frosty mug of beer and a snifter of Amaretto. “PAPA BEAR” Dick leaves behind his wife Joyce of 35 years, daughter Sally (Scott), son Rick (Nicole), stepson Robert (Dorothy), step-daughter Tammy (Joe), brother Lowell/JR (Judy), Sister-in-law Mary (Jeff), many beloved Grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
