Obituary for Pauline L Tuaño

Pauline (Lita) Leyva TuaƱo, 89, of Holmdel New Jersey, passed away peacefully on

February 21, 2025 in Celebration, Florida. A funeral mass will take place at the Church

of Saint Catharine in Holmdel, New Jersey on March 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.


Born in Mandaluyong Rizal (Metro Manila), Philippines on December 31, 1935, Pauline

graduated from the University of the East in 1961 with an Associate degree in Business

Administration. After making the United States her home in 1969 she built a successful

career in accounting. She spent sixteen years with Continental Insurance Corporation

before transitioning to Home Sate Holdings, Inc., where she rose to the position of Vice

President of Statutory Accounting. She later served as Assistant Vice President and

Assistant Controller, Finance for the Church Pension Group. Pauline was a dedicated

and widely respected leader who was especially known for her ability to identify and

nurture up-and-coming talent.


Pauline was a very devout Catholic with deep religious convictions. One of her greatest

joys was singing in the Church of Saint Catharineā€™s choir, where she was an active and

devoted parishioner for many years. She loved traveling and doting on her family, friends

and many godchildren.


Pauline was preceded in death by her siblings Fernando (Paula), Venancio (Mila), and

Godofredo (Estela); and her nephews, Eric and Ben-Hur (Gina). She is survived by her

brother Marciano (Fe); nieces Theresa (Ronald), Kathlyn (Julian), and Christine (Max);

and nephews Christian, Pythagoras (Joanne), Jeffrey (Lisa) and Fredrick (Kristen).

Pauline will be remembered for her unwavering faith and integrity, boundless generosity,

and love for her family and friends. She was the bedrock and treasure of the TuaƱo

family and will be greatly missed.


Friends and family are invited to a funeral mass at the Church of Saint Catharine on

March 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Your love, support, and prayers mean the world to our

family. In lieu of gifts or flowers, we simply ask that you cherish your memories with
