Paul Wesley Strauley of Casselberry Florida passed away on October 31,2024.
Paul is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mindy Strauley, sweet kitty Kit Kit Strauley, sister Leilani Puckett and, daughter Karen Lowery.
He was predeceased by his parents Marie and Wesley Strauley and his son Michael Wesley Strauley.
Paul lived his childhood years in Fairhope Alabama where he enjoyed being a volunteer firefighter for his local fire station. He was also introduced to sailing at a young age at the Fairhope Yacht Club. Paul raved about the times he and his crew “Chuck” took their Flying Scot to several locations to enjoy competing in racing and after sailing activities a plenty!
In the late 80s Paul moved to Florida and enjoyed professions of building satellite trucks in Clearwater Florida and most recently emergency vehicles for REV Orlando in Winter Park Florida. Paul also kept in touch with the sailing world with jobs for Tackle Shack in Clearwater, Lake Fairview Marina in Orlando and taking up Sunfish sailing.
Paul introduced his wife Mindy, whom he met in Clearwater in 1993, to the Sunfish and both enjoyed racing the boat.
Paul’s passions included woodworking, photography, sailing and landscaping.
Per Paul’s wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes will return home to Fairhope Alabama to be scattered.
