Obituary for Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson Sr., of Davenport, Florida, formerly of Franklin, Indiana passed away on July 10, 2021 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa. He was born June 24, 1947 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1965, where he was Captain of ROTC. Mike married his wife Martha (Kyer) on October 23, 1965, at Little Flower Catholic Church. He worked for Sears for 43 years after leaving Drake's Refigeration. He was a founding member of Center Grove Optimist Club. He loved his family, fishing, and working part time for Disney.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Evelyn Jackson and sister Linda Hardgraves. He is survived by his wife, Martha, sister LeAnn (Kevin) Hittle, sons Michael Jr (Tina), Jimmy (Jeanette), daughter Michelle (Bobby) Deckard, and bonus daughter Shirley (Tim) Fox, eleven grandchilden and thirteen great grandchildren.
