Maria S. Figueroa Baez-Henderson passed away on May 7, 2020, in Altamonte Springs, FL, with her loving husband by her side.
Born December 30, 1945, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Maria moved to New York at a young age and remained in the northeast region, where she later married and soon started raising her three children. Subsequently, she moved to Dallas, TX, where she began a successful career as a Registered Nurse. In 1982, she and her family settled in Central Florida.
Maria lived her life with extraordinary style. She loved her husband, Jim, deeply, was devoted to her children, and adored her grandchildren. Her brother, Ismael, held a special place in herheart, and she admired her brother, Ruby. She was also a fierce and loyal friend who will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Maria is survived by: her husband of almost 17 years, Jim Henderson, of Altamonte Springs, FL; her children, Kirk Baez of Chattanooga, TN, Christian Baez of Casselberry, FL, and Tiffany Fosson of Port Orange, FL; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; as well as her brothers, Ismael Figueroa of Altamonte Springs, FL, Ruben Figueroa of Laredo TX, and Richard Figueroa of Livermore, CA. .
