Obituary for Joslyn Raveneau
Winter Springs — Joslyn Raveneau , a resident of the Central Florida area died Sunday the 28th of June at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Born May 25th 1934 in St. Michael, Barbados, Joslyn discovered her love of sewing at a very young age. Her God-given talent and heart to beautify the world helped Joslyn to develop into a successful Seamstress. Through hard work and dedication Joslyn was not only able to save enough money to migrate to New York City in 1970 but she was able to bring seven additional family members as well. Of the seven was her beloved husband Keith Raveneau whom she married on January 3rd 1955 and her children Winston, Myrtle, Lena and Mark. Joslyn also brought her mother Daphne and her youngest brother Ricardo to America.

Joslyn was the heart of her home. She enjoyed cooking for her loved ones and baking her famous coconut bread. Joslyn loved reading, gardening, nature and enjoyed good times and heart felt laughs with loved ones. She had a beautiful smile that would light up any room she would step into. Most of all Joslyn had a heart for her Creator Jehovah and spent her life living to honor Him.

Joslyn is survived by her daughter Lena Raveneau, son Mark Raveneau, brothers Ricardo Skeete, Allison Thornhill and Tony Knight, sister Eugene Holder, grandchildren that she helped raise including Natasha, Nikita, Trudy, Martin Jr., Cherry-Ann, Angus, Salena, Justin and great grandchildren that she helped raise including Brandon, Amelia, Isaiah, Axel, Joslyn and several others too many to mention all of whom live throughout the United States. She was preceded in death by her husband Keith, son Winston, daughter Myrtle and brother Horace. She will be dearly missed.

Memorial gifts may be made to The Raveneau Family. Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be held via the internet
