Obituary for Josephine Grosso
Josephine Louise (Fabiano) Grosso went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 27,
2021 in Oviedo, FL where she resided for the past 12 years. She was 84 years old.
Josie was known to everyone as the life of every party. She would throw a party
for family and friends for every reason possible.
She worked for many years as a secretary and Title IX Coordinator in the
Administration Building of the Chester-Upland School District before she retired
and moved to Florida to live with her son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.
Before relocating to Florida, she was a resident of Brookhaven, PA and a member
of Our Lady of Charity parish for 39 years. Josephine was preceded in death by
her beloved husband of 35 years, Robert “Sonny” J. Grosso, Sr. She was also
preceded in death by her mother, Adeline Fabiano of South Philadelphia, and her
seven brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Grosso is survived by her son, Robert J. Grosso, Jr. (Susan) of Oviedo, FL
and her daughter, DonnaMarie Werbos (George) of Spring City, PA. She is also
survived by the loves of her life, her two beautiful granddaughters, Nicole and
Melanie. She leaves behind six beloved grandpuppies, as well. Josie is also
survived by many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
A viewing will be held on July 28, 2021 (Josie’s 85 th birthday) at 9:30 am at Our
Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven, PA 19015. A funeral
mass will follow at the church at 11:00 am. Interment will be held at Arlington
Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 immediately following the
funeral mass.
