Obituary for John Lewis Gambino
John L. Gambino, 67 of Oviedo, FL passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2021, with his daughter, wife, and bestfriend by his side, following a courageous battle with chronic health issues.
Born in Hudson, NY on October 20, 1954, John was the son of late Joseph J. and Joanne V. Gambino. John graduated from Hudson High School in 1973 and shortly after started his career as an auto-mechanic. John loved working with his hands – he fixed everything from cars, lawnmowers, scooters, pressure washers, to anything that had a motor. He was a man of all trades - there was nothing that he could not fix or build.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Sue, his daughters Angela and Alyssa, ex-wife and dear friend Maria, grandson, Gian, stepdaughter, Katrina, brother, Joey, sisters, Gina, Sarah, and Mary. John was a proud papa to his grandson Gian who he loved and adored. John had lots of fur-grandbabies and he loved animals, especially his pup, Sammy.
John touched the lives of everyone that he met, always went out of his way to help others, even when he was struggling himself, and he always had a story or a joke to tell. John’s pride and joy was his daughter, Angela - he spoke about how proud he was of her until his very last breath. It is nearly impossible to put into words the impact that John made on this world.
