Jessi Bonk exploded into this world as Irene Ann Hull on August 19, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Downer’s Grove, raised by her father, who was a butcher and her homemaker mom. After high school, Jessi became a respiratory therapist, a profession she was so wonderful at and she remained a part of until her passing. She also moved into case management and ultimately found her calling as an amazing risk manager. While she was passionate about her career, her real love and talent was in dog training and therapy dog work. She worked tirelessly to help strengthen the bond between dog owners and their dogs. Jessi was an avid traveler, never saying no to an opportunity to experience a new place. She was truly a citizen of the world. She made friends wherever she went, never met a stranger and made a family out of those she chose to love. Jessi was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2018 and left this physical world after a 4 year battle, on December 31, surrounded by her friends and her pups.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 8 at 1pm at Tuffy’s Music Box at 200 Myrtle Ave, Sanford, FL 32771
