A native of Baton Rouge, LA for over 80 years, died at his home in Apopka, FL, surrounded by his family, on February 11, 2022, he was 83 years young. He was the son of the late Beo and Florence Landry, of Milton, LA. A celebration of his life will be as follows: Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs, LA, Rosary will be said at 10:00 AM, followed by family greeting at 10:30 AM and Catholic Mass at 11:00 AM, conducted by Father Mike Maroney. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Marvelle Allen Landry, Children; Karla M. Landry and husband David Green of Bonaire, GA., Michael J. Landry and wife Shelley of Winter Garden, FL., and Michelle A. Mansur and husband Van of Apopka, FL., Six Grandchildren; Trevor Radley, Blake Crowder, Brandon Crowder, Garrett Rachal, Curtis Landry, and Nicholas Landry, and sister Janice M. Scheele of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX. He was proceeded in death by his parents Beo and Florence Landry. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. He was a member of both St. Alphonsus and St. Pius the X Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 6531. He was a graduate of St. Gerard Majella and Catholic High School in 1956. He was a member of Local 198 and worked for more than 40 years for both National Instrument Corporation and Turner Industries as a construction superintendent. He spent many years coaching baseball, softball, and football in the Baton Rouge youth leagues. He was an avid Golfer who played as long as his health allowed, and he was a huge fan of LSU sports and tried to never miss a game. The family would like to ask in lieu flowers any donations be made to The Ochsner Clinic Foundation, c/o Greg Smith Transplant Fund, 1514 Jefferson Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70121, which helps families of Heart Transplant patients. Following the service, the Family invites anyone who would like to attend a reception honoring Karl at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 6923 Oak Cluster, Greenwell Spring, LA.
