Obituary for James Blua Jr

James Raleigh Blua, Jr. (A.K.A. “Big Foot”), 43, of Geneva, FL, passed away on October 22, 2023. He was born in Titusville, FL on January 18, 1980 to James “Jim” Raleigh Blua, Sr. and Ramona “Mona” Wilson Blua. He received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Stetson University.

James had a passion for entertaining people with his beautiful voice and excellent piano playing. His family would always gather around the piano to hear him play and sing during family gatherings and special holidays. He would light up a room with his infectious smile and heart of gold, and was also a jack of all trades and could fix anything.

James was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Fred Wilson, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Lucille Blua; paternal grandfather, Anton "Tony" Blua; brother, Justin Blua; and uncle, Dennis Wilson. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Mona Blua; maternal grandmother, Elsie Wilson; uncle, Fred (Robin) Wilson, Jr.; great uncle, Doyle (Nancy) Padgett; cousins, Alicia (Travis) Pepin, Layla (Jeff) Hewitt, Jennifer (Angela) Wilson, Fred (Misty) Wilson, III, and Ashley Padgett; adopted sister, Christina Toray (Gary) Anderson; and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 29, at 2pm at Jim and Mona’s house, 2521 E. Osceola Road, Geneva, FL 32732.

James was an organ donor and saved numerous lives with his generous spirit. He will now be able to sing with the angels. May he forever rest in peace.
