A Single White Rose for You, Great Grandpa!
A single white rose, so pure and true, From baby Lane’s hands that never knew
Your voice, your laugh – but still I see, Your baby blues passed on to me.
Though time kept us apart, Love bloomed in my heart.
Jackie “Jack” Stafford (1934 – 2025)
Jack Stafford, 91, of Oviedo, Florida, died peacefully on June 30, 2025. He was a devoted husband, loving father, adored grandpa and great grandpa like no other! Jack loved Jesus and his life was a reflection of that love to all his family, friends, coworkers, and everyone he met including his very caring medical team!
Jack was born at home in Pike County, Kentucky on March 6, 1934, to Jessie Stafford (Noah Ferrell). He was preceded in death by his mother Jessie, stepfather Noah, and his loving sister Joy (Bud).
Jack married Dimple Hatfield in 1949. They lived in Maryland, West Virginia and later moved to Melbourne, Florida in 1961. They had three children, Grady (preceded in death), Gisselle, and Tom before Dimple’s passing in September of 1971. In 1972 Jack married June Chandler, blending their families of his three children and her five daughters, Kay, Cindy, Kathy, Elaine, and LeaEtta. Then not long afterwards Dotie was born, making 9 children in all! Jack lovingly and devotedly nurtured and provided for his new blended family that was made up of His, Hers, and Ours!
Jack worked as a supervisor over the water and sewer department for GDC for 28 years covering Port Malabar to Port St. Lucie. Then he transferred to Indian River County Water and Sewer where he retired!
After Jack retired in 1999 he and June moved to the mountains in Marble, North Carolina. They lived there for over 20 years before moving to Oviedo, Florida in 2021. They lived their final days with their youngest daughter, Dotie and Lolo. Jack was preceded in death by June who passed in November of 2023.
Jack’s greatest BLESSINGS were found in his BIG BEAUTIFUL BLENDED FAMILY! He was so proud of his 19 amazing grandchildren; Neil, Michael, Johnny (preceded in death), Krissy, Russ (Janel), Rachael (Brian), Stephen (Kristie), Cristina (Craig), Charles (Jenny), Shaila (Sebastian), Shivana (JJ), Jason (Heather), Josh, Lea-Anna, Isaac (Jacey), Emma, Isidoro, Joseph, and “Little” Isaac. Then from these grandchildren came his 27 adored greatgrandchildren: Doyle, Michael, Kayne, Kull, Lavinia, Wyatt, Holly, Parker, Greyson, Lucy, Libby, Lyndee, Madeline, Ella Grace, Sadie, Jordan, Lydia, Leo, Sophia, CeCe, Shyla, Hayden, Gunner, Rowan, Mason, Lailea Kait, and Kellen Lane. Following that were Jack’s precious 6 great-great grandchildren who are Oliver, Lily, Aiden, Nolen, Hazel, and Mike. Jack also had many wonderful son-in-laws (Stub, Phil, Dennis, Tom, Gulshan, Roberto, Lolo, and Freddy) and daughter-in-laws (Maureen and Heather). He was also blessed with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins too. He truly loved and adored each and every one. His deepest prayer was for all his family to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
Rest in Peace Dad, Grandpa, Papa! We love you! Until we meet again!
The Story of Our Dad!
This is a story of a man named Jack, who was single
with three kids of his own.
At that time, his eldest son was married leaving him with
two small children to raise all alone.
The story continues with a woman named June who was single with five girls of her own. She worked day and night to provide for her children, which kept her constantly away from her home.
Well, one day this lady met this “wonderful” man.
They fell in love and very soon were wed.
These two families came together very happily,
and we quickly blended into one “big” family.
Just two years later, a new addition arrived.
Adding his three, her five, the newest one, now there are nine!
With Dad being the head of his huge family,
he showed us what love is by providing for all of our needs
He was constantly working either at home or at his job
to accommodate his new family and giving us all our first hot rod!
He taught us about love, respect, and how to work hard. Through the
actions of his life we saw this clearly like reading the words on a card.
We can’t even begin to thank you for all you have done for us! You are “our rock,” “our hero,” “our dad,” and a wonderful example of a “Christian.”
That’s a must!
Dad or gift to you today is seen in the reflection of our lives.
We love you, honor and respect you and praise God he brought you into our lives!
Happy birthday, Dad!
We Love You So Much!
Grady, Kay, Cindy, Kathy, Elaine, Gisselle, LeaEtta, Tom, and Dotie
