Obituary for Delbert Lee Chumita
Delbert Chumita, a design engineer and a resident of Florida, passed away on May 2, 2020 at the age of 67. He is survived by his three daughters Mindy Chumita, Michelle McBride, Marla Dunn and his four grandchildren; his two brothers Daniel and Donald Chumita. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on August 24, 1952. He attended Kent University and graduated from a technical school for Electronics in Akron, Ohio. Del went on to pursue a fruitful career in electronics and design engineering. He was frequently recognized for his special ability to work out problems and became the main asset in every company he worked with.
Del was an amazingly creative and innovative brilliant mind. He was loved by many. A pillar to the community. His extravagant, custom Christmas light displays became a yearly tradition for many generations. Del loved creating and bringing smiles to the faces of so many. He was also fond of rollercoasters. Not many could walk circles around theme parks like him. His desire to bring joy to others included dazzling firework displays. Del built a beautiful empire of a house with his own hands. He built an even more amazing family.
