Obituary for Coral Anne Swiger

Coral Anne Swiger, 80, of Belleview, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Coral was born on August 20, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, to Carl and Sara Tucker. She was raised in Ocklawaha, Florida, and graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1963. Shortly thereafter, she began what would become a remarkable 42-year career in the dental field, where she built lasting friendships and served countless patients with care and dedication.

After starting her family, Coral moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where her heart for service truly shined. She was deeply involved in her community—an active member of her church, a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House, a familiar face in the concession stands at MLL, and she proudly served as President of the NE Bandits. Wherever there was a need, Coral was there with open arms and a generous spirit.

In 1988, she married the love of her life, Rick Swiger. They shared 35 beautiful years of marriage until his passing on December 13, 2023. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.

To know Coral was to love her. She was kind, caring, and endlessly compassionate—the first to step forward when someone needed help, even a stranger. She loved her family fiercely and was truly the glue that held everyone together. Coral embraced life fully and joyfully. She loved dancing and singing, traveling, shopping, scrapbooking, and reading. She especially cherished planning children’s events and delivering children’s sermons at her church, pouring her heart into the next generation.

Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and the treasured annual family reunions on Sanibel Island, where memories were made year after year.

Coral is survived by her daughter, Cindy Popple White (Trace White); her son, Chad Swiger (Lisa Bartell); four beloved grandchildren, Joseph Swiger, Dylan White, Taylor White, and Brandon Popple; along with many cousins and extended family members whom she loved dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church in Summerfield, Florida.

Coral’s legacy of kindness, faith, and unconditional love will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
