Betty Marie “Doodle” Kiejko
Betty Marie “Doodle” Kiejko of Orlando, Fla., passed away peacefully at AdventHealth East Orlando on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Mrs. Kiejko was born on May 26, 1953, in Knoxville, Tenn., the first of two children to Betty Jo and Clifford Luther Perry and, after the early death of her father, later raised by her mother and SSG Jackie Lee Pounds.
She married her high school sweetheart, Stanley “Frank” Kiejko II, and raised three children: Frankie, Shawn, and Amanda.
Mrs. Kiejko was a proud wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother—and loved spending time with her family. In addition to her love of crocheting and classic TV sitcoms, she especially enjoyed time spent on the back porch having coffee and conversation with family—frequently trading verbal jabs with a wickedly dark sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley “Frank” Kiejko II; son, Stanley “Frankie” (Stacy) Kiejko III of Rockford, Ill.; son, Shawn Kiejko of Orlando, Fla.; and daughter, Amanda (Jason) Moody of Orlando, Fla.
She is also survived by her brother, Clifford (Peggy Palfy) Perry of Orlando, Fla.; sister-in-law, Sophia “Tracy” Sutterfield of Craig, Colo.; grandchildren: Jordynn Curenton of Arlington Heights, Ill., Madison Kiejko of Orlando, Fla., Austen Moody of Orlando, Fla., Baily Kiejko of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Mackenzie Moody of Orlando, Fla.—as well as nieces: Gail (Walter West) Matthews Grubbs of Bainbridge, Ga.; Priscilla (Donnie) Southall of Bainbridge, Ga. Traci “Diane” Johns of Craig, Colo.; Jennifer (Marc) Anderson of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Leigh Ann Adams of Baggs, Wyo.; Tiffany (Steven) Jones of Titusville, Fla.; Kimberly (Richard) Harris of Davenport, Fla.; and Faith Goltry of Orlando, Fla.; nephews: Chuck (Ginger) Matthews of Bainbridge, Ga.; Joshua Perry of Orlando, Fla.; as well as many great nieces and great nephews, all of whom she loved as if they were her own children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Kiejko was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, sisters-in-law: Vertie Mae Shears, Edna “Elaine” Singleton, Dottie Matthews and Rondi Perry and brothers-in-law: Joe Butler, Robert “Earl” Singleton, Frank Shears, Charles Matthews II, Thomas “Roy” Sutterfield and nephew: David Thomas.
Services will be announced at a later date.
